So, in the Demented Debacle of December 2006, the pull chain on the ceiling fan in my bedroom was cut off at the base of the ceiling fan so I could not turn the fan or the light on. I decided some sheer white ribbon would work well for a new cord instead of the balled metal chain they sell at hardware stores, and to weight the ends I bought two sea glass beads from a local bead store. The sea glass is pale green and frosty-looking, and the beads are unusually shaped, which I really like. I think it makes a great pull!
